Cursor connects to KoalaFix with a button on your dashboard or a few lines of configuration.
With the button
Open your dashboard’s Integrations page at mcp.koalafix.com, choose Add to Cursor, and sign in when Cursor connects.
With mcp.json
Add this to .cursor/mcp.json in your project, or to ~/.cursor/mcp.json for every project, then sign in when Cursor connects:
{ "mcpServers": { "koalafix": { "url": "https://mcp.koalafix.com/mcp" } } }
Give Cursor the KoalaFix routine
The button and mcp.json add the KoalaFix server only. To have Cursor follow KoalaFix’s routine (search memory before a task, check in, save the team’s decisions), copy plugins/koalafix/rules/koalafix.mdc from the koalafix-connect repository into your project’s .cursor/rules/.
On Cursor Teams or Enterprise, an admin can instead import that repository as a team marketplace under Dashboard › Plugins & MCPs, and add koalafix-auto from it for the session hooks.
