Connect your tools

Connected on its own, KoalaFix gives your assistant the tools, and it uses them when it decides to. The session hooks make it happen every time.

What changes

  • Session start: the team’s brief goes in front of the session: facts, the team’s current decisions, teammates’ work in progress and what’s open for you.
  • Each prompt: one search of team memory about what you asked, with the verdict in front of the prompt.
  • Now and then: your agent is asked to save the team decisions made since last time, in its own words. Never your messages, and nothing at all when nothing was decided.
  • Session end: in Claude Code, one short run saves the decisions from the last few turns.

Install it

Claude Code:

/plugin marketplace add KoalaFix/koalafix-connect
/plugin install koalafix-auto@koalafix-connect

Codex, then run /hooks once and trust the four KoalaFix hooks:

codex plugin marketplace add KoalaFix/koalafix-connect
codex plugin add koalafix@koalafix-connect
codex plugin add koalafix-auto@koalafix-connect

Gemini CLI:

gemini extensions install https://github.com/KoalaFix/koalafix-connect

GitHub Copilot: the koalafix-copilot plugin carries the hooks; see Connect GitHub Copilot.

On Cursor Teams or Enterprise, an admin imports the koalafix-connect repository as a team marketplace and adds koalafix-auto from it.

The hooks need Node.js 22 or later. On first use they show a sign-in link and a code; approve it once in your browser.

What the hooks send

Each prompt’s text goes to KoalaFix as a search question, up to 2,000 characters, with anything shaped like a token or key taken out. The search is recorded without its text. With it go the repository and model name, and the paths of up to 20 project files the prompt names or the session has edited, never their contents. Your teammates see your project, branch and those paths on your check-in, never your prompt. The hooks never send your session’s transcript.

The full list is in the plugin’s README, and the code is open.

Turn parts of it off

Set KALIBRATE_CAPTURE=off to stop the hooks asking your agent to save decisions, and KALIBRATE_CAPTURE_AT_END=off to stop Claude Code’s run at session end. Kalibrate is the name of the engine behind KoalaFix, which is why these settings say kalibrate. To turn the hooks off entirely, uninstall the plugin or the extension.
